1/2 Day Offroad Safari and Aurora Borealis

This this tour is perfect for those who don´t want to spend the whole day inside a car, but want to have a great offroad experience, see beautiful landscape and enjoy the Breathtaking Northern Lights.

We will start the day by picking you up from your accommodation on our specially modified 4×4 vehicle. From there we will head out of Reykjavík and drive a mountain road called Þrengsli, to a magical cave called Raufarhólshellir where we will go in and explore it´s mystique. After cave exploring we will work our way towards the southcoast and visit the black sand beach along with two old fishing villages, Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri. From Stokkseyri we will drive to Urriðafoss, beautiful waterfall in Þjórsá river. Now that we have done some sight seeing we will head to Selfoss (the largest town in south Iceland) for a relaxing dinner. Once everybody is fed and satisfied we will head to Hellisheiði mountainroad. When we are at the top of Hellisheiði we will turn off the main road and start our offroad Northern Light expedition. The routes taken in this part of the tour may change due to weather conditions. You see….  the mighty Thor controls the weather and you never know where he opens up the skies for us. But you can be sure on that we will find those openings for you. Just be prepared to be breathtaken, you are in for the best night of your lifetime.
