Þórsmörk is a Natural reserve were we can enjoy beautiful volcanic landscape with a great view over the three magnificent glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull. To reach our destiny we will cross small rivers. There are several hiking possibilities in the area.

After the pickup from your accommodation we will head out of town, over a mountain road called Hellisheiði, working our way towards the south Coast. On our way to our first stop at Urriðafoss waterfall located in Þjórsá river, we will pass through beautiful old fishing villages, Stokkseyri (500 people) and Eyrarbakki (600 people). After viewing the waterfall we will continue on to road nr.1 and drive towards the mighty Eyjafjallajökull, the trouble maker that erupted in 2010 causing a lot of disturbance in Europe´s airspace. At the base of the glacier/volcano we will find two amazing waterfalls, Seljalandfoss and hidden secret inside a gorge called Gljúfrabúi. Now things will start to heat up as we put our Superjeep to the test and head inland on a 4×4 road in to Þórsmörk valley ( The Valley of the mighty Thor), passing rivers and rough landscape to view of Gígjökull glacier, tongue of Eyjafjallajökull. From Gígjökull we will continue our drive in to the valley and enjoy the spectacular view that the vallay has to offer. Don´t worry we will have plenty of amazing photo opportunities along our drive to our final destination at Básar Park where we will stop for hiking and sightseeing, Right in between three magnificent glaciers.
