The day starts with picup from your hotel and we head from there on to road nr. 1 towards Borgarfjörður. After about an hours drive we will reach the first stop of our expedition at Deildartunguhver hotspring wich is the most powerful hotspring in Europe. From Deildartunguhver we will continue to a waterfall called Hraunfossar or „Lava Waterfalls“. After enjoying the magical waterfalls we will drive further inland to Húsafell where we will stop for short break and relax before continuing on to the highlands towards Langjökull glacier, the second largest glacier in Iceland (953 m²) after Vatnajökull glacier. At Langjökull we will enter the magnificent Ice Cave Once we have enjoyed the magnificent view from Langjökull we will drive a mountain road called Kaldidalur or „The Cold Valley“ towards the first Golden Circle stop of the day, Þingvellir National Park, home of the worlds oldest Parliament, located on top of the tectonic plate junction between the Eurasian tectonic plate and the North American tectonic plate. After Þingvellir the path leads us to one of the biggest waterfalls in iceland, the spectacular Gullfoss. With a height of 32 meters and a flow rate of 130 cubic meters per second. We will also see Geysir, walk through a geothermally active area and see Strokkur geyser erupt and spout boiling water 20 meters into the air. From Geysir we will hjead to our last stop of the day, Kerið wich is a volcanic crater near the town of Selfoss. Kerið is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as the Western volcanic zone.
